Kinomoto Sakura is a bright, cheerful, cute little 4th grade girl. She lives with her 17-year old brother and her widowed father in a nice home in Japan. One day, she hears strange noises coming from the basement of her home. Cautiously investigating the source amongst the rows of book shelves, she discovers it is coming from a glowing old book called "The Clow". Unlocking the book, Sakura discovers that it is in fact a storage box for a deck of odd cards. While attempting to read the English word "Windy" on the front of the top card, she accidently activates the magic card, causing the entire deck to be scattered and disappear all over Japan. The only card that survives is the "Windy" card. |

Kindaichi Hajime is just an ordinary high school student, with a bit of loser reputation. It is only when the president of the school’s Mystery Research Club invites him to join the club to help solve the seven bloody mysteries of the school annex does Miyuki, his childhood friend, learn that her Hajime is also the grandson of one of Japan’s most famous detectives. Their adventures quickly prove to Miyuki that Hajime is someone who has inherited his family’s special sleuthing skills. |

Rent | High School student Shinichi Kudou was a virtual Sherlock Holmes, who the Tokyo police regularly turned to for help in solving baffling cases. But then he accidentally learned too much for his own good about a murder case, and was caught by the villains. They poisoned him and left him for dead, but the "poison" had an unexpected effect--rather than killing him, it caused Shinichi to revert to the appearance of an elementary school boy! He retains his skills as a brilliant detective, however, and since that incident has managed to become adopted by his former girlfriend and her less-than-exemplary private detective father. With them he carries on his passion, and searches for clues to a possible antidote to the poison he was forced to swallow. |
