Along with that, an ancient legend of a Tennyo (girl from the heavens) is said to have come down to Earth and bathed in a river. A nearby fisherman spotted her and stole her hagoromo (feathered robe) that was hanging on a tree nearby. Without it she could not return to her home in the heavens, and was forced to marry the man and have his children. |

Kinomoto Sakura is a bright, cheerful, cute little 4th grade girl. She lives with her 17-year old brother and her widowed father in a nice home in Japan. One day, she hears strange noises coming from the basement of her home. Cautiously investigating the source amongst the rows of book shelves, she discovers it is coming from a glowing old book called "The Clow". Unlocking the book, Sakura discovers that it is in fact a storage box for a deck of odd cards. While attempting to read the English word "Windy" on the front of the top card, she accidently activates the magic card, causing the entire deck to be scattered and disappear all over Japan. The only card that survives is the "Windy" card. |

It is summer and four months since Li-kun (Shaoran-kun) retuned to Hong Kong. Now in the 6th grade, Sakura-chan is getting ready to play the part of a princess in a play the class is putting on for a local festival. Tasuke-kun, an ordinary teenager who while living alone, finds himself in the company of two cute Shugotten (spirits) who have taken it upon themselves to ‘protect’ him. In addition to living with the two spirits, Ruuan (the wood spirit) has somehow become his homeroom teacher at middle school and Shaorin (a spirit of the moon) is now a fellow student in his homeroom class. If only to complicate the situation, most of Tasuke's classmates have set their romantic interests on either him or his spirit companions. And then his father sends him a special gift from China, which included a magic fan with yet another spirit. But Tasuke has always harbored special feelings for Shaorin and slowly their friendship grows amidst the strange magic and chaos of their lives. . |
