Even as a young man, Manabu Yuuki dreamed only of following in has father’s footsteps. His father lost his life as a captain of a steam train on the intergalactic railway and Manabu’s older brother also died in the service of Galaxy Railways as a member of the elite member of the Space Panzer Grenada. Now at the age of 17, Yuuki has signed up as a member of the security force responsible for protecting the passengers of the Galaxy Railways. and so his adventure begins.

A teenage Kyu is quite fascinated by the mystery shows that appear on TV, when one afternoon he accidentally bumps into a man coming out of a bank, and money flies everywhere. Falsely accused of taking a 10,000-yen-note, he is helped by Minami Megumi (Meg) who has a photographic memory, and Kyu is able to sleuth out where the missing bill went. Later that evening, the man whom Kyu bumped into earlier dies at a nearby construction site, and it falls upon Kyu and Megumi to figure out the circumstances of his unexpected death.
