Microtechnology has created self-powered roller blades that allow a rider to rip along at blistering speeds, roar up walls and fly to incredible heights. And now AIR TECK (A-T) has become the new rage with all of the gangs. Ikki got the dickens kicked out of him by a roller-blade gang and the four sisters that he is staying with are not going to allow him to forget it. Of the four sisters, it falls upon fourteen-year-old Ringo to be responsible for looking after their trouble-some ‘adopted’ little brother whom they have nicknamed ‘baby-face’. When Ikki finds out that the girls are part of an A-T gang called the ‘sleeping forest’, he borrows one of their skates and rides off into the night vowing to learn to ride . A chance encounter introduces him to a cute roller-blade girl. Ikki follows her to a Stormrider (AT gang) gathering and learns that she is called Simca. Simca really seems to take a fancy for him (or perhaps she really enjoys teasing him), but when his sisters (most specifically Ringo) find out, they are not happy with Ikki’s new friend. |

Okajima Rokuro is a much abused and bored Japanese Salary-man who is sent by his company to a forsaken corner of South East Asia to hand deliver a disk with secret company files. The cargo ship on which he was traveling on is attacked by pirates riding on a torpedo boat named “Black Lagoon”. The three pirates somehow know all about his mission and decide to take him hostage for ransom as well. Later when Rokuro is surprised to find out that his company will not pay a ransom and he learns that he has been ‘written off as a business expense’, he just snaps and loses it. But the company is not done yet with him as they have hired a group of mercenaries to find the pirates, recover the disk and kill everyone involved in this sordid event. |

The story begins when high school student Mutou Kazuki is killed one night saving a mysterious girl from a monster, only to wake up and find it was only a dream. However, he soon finds out how real that dream was when a giant serpentine monster attacks him and his sister. Tsumura Tokiko, the girl from his dream, explains that the monster is a homunculus. Kazuki had been attacked and killed by it when rescuing Tokiko, however the girl revived him by placing a kakugane in his chest. |
