For the new year in elementary school #9 the responsibilities are assigned, like class representatives, homeroom duties, feeding the class animals - and membership in the anti alien squad who put an alien symbiont on their head like a hat and then catch those aliens that are occasionally landing on earth before they can do any damage. Energetic Toomine Kasumi and serious Kawamura Kumi volunteered for this task while timid Ootani Yuri was elected for this squad by her class, much against her will. And facing these monsters, defending her classmates and even feeding the symbiont with her body (who gives her protection in return) takes a heavy toll on this girl.

Twin brother and sister Aki and Aya Mikage are about to celebrate their 16th birthdays. Earlier on, Aya had visited a psychic and was told the fated day when the moon and stars of 16 would meet is coming, and that all hell and doom would break loose. Mysteriously their grandfather invites them over for a "birthday party" and gives them a gift which brings out new powers. Now suddenly the entire Mikage family wants Aya killed since "she will bring them nothing but harm." Aki is no longer allowed to see Aya. Along with that, an ancient legend of a Tennyo (girl from the heavens) is said to have come down to Earth and bathed in a river. A nearby fisherman spotted her and stole her hagoromo (feathered robe) that was hanging on a tree nearby. Without it she could not return to her home in the heavens, and was forced to marry the man and have his children.

Kouta has moved back to his childhood town to start his first year in college, and his female cousin, Yuka, has set him up to live in a big ten-room vacant house. Later on that night, the two encounter a naked girl with horns wandering on the beach. She appears to be very innocent and very helpless, so Kouta takes it upon himself to take her home to keep her safe, unaware that his guest has just escaped from an experimental lab and that both the police and military are searching for her, with orders to shoot on sight.
