Tate and Kyoji discover that they are the reincarnations of two Inca warriors, destined to reenact a battle of wills from the ancient past. Once close friends, they become fierce enemies as Kyoji attempts to stop Tate from reawakening a mystical force that can destroy humanity. Yuka, Tate's fiancee, is torn between the two men. The story flips between showing what happened in their previous lives and how that plays out in the present.
