Friendship/Lolicon/Shoujo Titles

Friendship: (Story/Location) Titles in which the relationship of two or more characters as friends are important.

Lolicon: (Objectionable Content) (↗roricon (ロリコン) = short for "Lolita complex") This is the Japanese term for an attraction to underage girls (usually 7-16 in age though I suppose all underage girls could qualify depending on how they are "built"), the reverse of "Shotacon". This attraction is usually by older men, but can also involve older women as well. An anime of this type has at least one underage female character in sexual (or at least sexually suggestive) scenes or doing sexual things. Related category: "Moe". See also: ↗Wikipedia:Lolicon.

Shoujo: (Target Group) (↗shoujo (少女) = "young lady", "virgin", "maiden"; opposite of "Shounen") A style of artwork and story created for girls (usually of age 10 to 18). Characterized by plots that focus on emotion and relationships, and art that tends toward the florid, with lanky characters and rather effeminate (but always attractive) men. Mostly popular with teenagers in Japan, most shoujo-style work has not spread widely, but it does occasionally gain recognition outside Japan (some examples are Revolutionary Girl Utena and X). The most common uses are "shoujo manga", literally meaning "girls' comics", and "shoujo anime" meaning "girls' animation." Also romanized as "shojo" (actually a different word "処女" in Japanese). Several months after Nanoha first became a Magical Girl, she still is unable to personally meet with her new close friend, Fate Testarossa, who is being tried in the Space / Time Administration Bureau for her association in the Lost Logia case. They still communicate through video-mail and hope to see each other in-person once again. Their reunion is not a happy one, unfortunately, as several people who call themselves "Velka-Type Knights" battle Nanoha above the city. Their objective is to fill the pages of the Book of Darkness by stealing the magical power of anyone they can find. Nanoha and Fate must once again team up to stop their plans and save the world.
