Titles of this category should contain at least one character who is able to occasionally change its gender, contain several beings of different genders within the same body or have to act in a cross-gender manner. Ranma 1/2 and Tetsuwan Birdy are examples of this category.
Self-explanatory. High school (grades 10-12) should play a major role in the title. Azumanga Daioh is an excellent example of this category. A typical High school series will include a Sports Festival, a Cultural Festival, and a school Trip.

Amatsuka Megumi certainly does not act like the beautiful young teenager as she appears, in fact she acts more like a tomboy, or perhaps even a boy. Only her girlfriend and she remember that one day some several years ago, when they found a magic book with a tricky sprite. At his behest, Magumi made a wish to be a “man of men”, and the demon transformed him into a beautiful young lady. Now if only the other boys would understand that she is really a boy and stop bothering her... or.. him.
