Saga is a normal school girl living in Europe. She has everything planned down to the smallest details for her daily life and she works very hard (in addition to being very musical). Her friends love her for this and her self-appointed rival Greta does not. Things are fine until one day on the way home, Saga discovers something small, ultra cute, and very hungry -- the apprentice snow fairy named Sugar. Humans normally can't see fairies but in this case Saga can. Having fed the hungry fairy, Sugar has attached herself to Saga like a lost puppy. And when Sugar's friends and fellow apprentices Salt and Pepper join the scene to look for the elusive "Twinkles", what's a girl to do? |

The show starts with the tale of Chitose Fujinomiya, a girl who goes from riches to rags and back and remains a snob despite it all. When her wealthy father dies, remaining debts leave Chitose almost broke, and she is kicked out of the affluent Tokai no Gakuen, or City Academy. She is left with nothing in the world but the clothes on her back and one pink goldfish named Gyopi-chan, the only memento she has of her father. Wandering lost, she collapses on the grounds of the poor-but-happy Inaka no Chugakko (Country Jr. High School), where the students are rough if friendly, and farm animals regularly roam the school grounds and even attend class. Recovering, she enters into the school but is repelled by its air of poverty, to which she is unaccustomed. |

But what starts out as a usual morning changes drastically as he opens his front door to be confronted by a girl named Misha dressed in a voluminous dress and a tendency to shout rather than speak. Kotaro attempts to escape, but this new next-door neighbor is quite persistent...this is the beginning of Misha's stalking of Kotaro. Even though she is a Junior High School student she has chosen Kotaro as her victim and hounds him all day long.
