This is a term coined to identify things like jiggling breasts, cleavage shots, panty shots, bra shots, closeup shots of women's breast, legs, butt, etc., and mild nudity all for the purposes of "servicing" the audience and having no relevance to the plot or characters of a series. The term has a second meaning covering things like massive action sequences, explosions, fights, etc., but it mostly refers to the first meaning.
Action Comedy: Much like ACTION (Lots of shooting, explosions, and the like) except it has comedy thrown in as well.

Hibio (or "Eric" in the dubbed version) is a teenage boy who has been embittered towards women in general as a result of his mother deserting him and his father. His mother, Masae, is an anthropologist who is fascinated by an obscure tribe which is supposed to possess awesome magical powers. Unfortunately, the tribe would prefer to keep this so-called "Monyo Power" a secret, and Masae gets caught snooping around. Luckily for her, High Priestess Nima ("Balla" in the dubbed version) is intrigued by a photo of Hibio, and a deal is struck: Masae will be spared in exchange for granting Nima permission to marry her son! Needless to say, Hibio has no idea that his marriage has been prearranged, and is taken completely by surprise when Nima shows up in his hometown, performs a brief ritual, and declares him to be her husband. Hibio suddenly finds himself with a de-facto wife who possesses the Monyo Power, and, as if this wasn't enough of a problem, it turns out that his High School class president, Fujimatsu, has been secretly in love with him as well. Fujimatsu ("Lisa") doesn't take kindly to this new rival for Hibio's affection--and she possesses a very dangerous skill of her own. |

Louise Valliere is a 2nd year student at the esteemed Magic Academy High School, but all of her classmates call her ‘Zero Louise’. While no one doubts her magic ability, it is just that all of the spells that she casts just go wrong, usually with disastrous and explosive results. Rumor has it that none of the spells that she tried to cast have ever gone as expected, which is how she picked up her nickname - Zero. One of the most import 2nd year student rituals is the summoning of a familiar. A familiar once summoned will stay with the magician for rest of their life. A mage’s magical familiar can appear in the form of any creature – as small as a mouse, as a fearsome fire salamander, and perhaps even as a dragon for an exceptional mage. True to form, Louise’s familiar summoning spell goes very wrong and pulls Hiraga Saito from his life as a high school student (in Japan) into the magic world. The ritual is sacred and once started, cannot be changed, so Louise accepts her fate and gives Saito a kiss (on the lips) to seal their bond. The other students take delight in teasing Zero Louise at having summoned an ordinary commoner as a familiar, but they have forgotten that familiars are magical creatures and by their nature - are never ordinary or common. |
