Mecha: (Story/Location) This is a genre of anime which features mechanical fighting machines. Often these take the form of giant robots but this isn't the only form mecha can take. There are tons of examples of mecha titles considering the popularity of the series.

During its flight, an unknown alien race appeared and started laying siege upon City 7. However, its attacks are not conventional -- instead of trying to destroy them, they steal what is known as "spiritia", rendering victims unresponsive and zombie-like. It's the year 2059. After the great Zentradi war, Humanity has left the Earth to spread it's seed across the galaxy. This is the story of the Macross Frontier, a giant Colony ship that is heading to the center of the galaxy. On the way there they are attacked by a strange new enemy that looks like a cross between the Zentradi and the Inbit from Genesis Climber MOSPEADA (known as the Invid in the Robotech adaptation). 3 Young people (The singer, a girl attending high school and a pilot trainee) are caught in the cross fire. The trainee witnesses a pilot being killed and the new enemy heading for the young girl. He jumps into the abandoned Valkyrie to save her. |
