Although I've only watched the first episode, I found it to be somewhat . . . a bummer. The art is such a put-off showing stick-people, and tiny figures. The overall 'plot' is great, however, as I have not seen the rest of the series, my thoughts really don't matter. ^_~ I would pretty much rate this a "low rent." It really wasn't that great, and all the screaming/hollaring was quite annoying. Last updated Wednesday, January 16 2008. Created Wednesday, January 16 2008.

This series is freakin hillarious! it's the funniest anime i ever watched.
Like the other reviewers i did find this anime similar to ouran high school host club but different (if u know what i mean). At first i got turned off by the drawing cos the guys in this anime looks like girls! but i give evry anime a chance and what do you know! i love it LOL i'm still put off by the drawing but the comedy balanced it out. The chibi versions were cute tho. abit about each character: kyohei- soo funny. he continuly fights with sunako and has a bottomless pit for a stomach. sunako- actually a very pretty girl (when she gets angry). she is usually in chibi form in most of the episodes. but also quite funny with her love for scary things and chocolate. yuki- the one that always gets mistaken for a girl. lol. and he cries over it. he is the nicest out of the four. ranmaru- a ladies man. always picking up chicks. Basically a player. takanaga- he's the smart one of the group. Overall i gave it a rent cos this story doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It just starts a new story every episode. (but it's still all good :) so..if u like a really good laugh this is for you. Edit: Finally finished the whole thing! its sad tho..cos i would love it to be abit longer. The last episode was good, it was so sweet and Sunako looked so pretty... Last updated Saturday, September 01 2007. Created Friday, March 23 2007.

(Five episodes watched): The one thing which most struck me about episode one was that I really don't like the overdone use of numerous SD modes--you might even call it super superdeformed mode! Stick figures, "ghost" figures--some people might find them amusing, but they just annoy me. I wish one set of character designs (the most realistic one) would be chosen, and the show would stick with them; after all, it's hard enough to keep track of anime characters without them being in some other mode at least 50% of the time. The first episode wasn't very pleasing to the eye, because colors often seemed poorly chosen, giving scenes a drab, dreary look. I know Sunako isn't exactly in a cheerful mood, but this just messed up the episode as a whole; fortunately, the colors have improved since then, so maybe it really was intentional. Normally things like SD mode and colors are minor concerns of mine, which I don't even bother to comment on; perhaps one of the reasons they caught my attention was because going in, the comedy of this show seemed rather modest (the bag of flour joke was good, though). I agree, this show isn't nearly as funny as Ohran Host Club--not so far, at least. And yes, the "Goth-Loli" club (or whatever) are such total airheaded bitches that they nauseate me. Not funny at all, in fact a major turn-off. Episode three was good, however--I still can't tell these guys apart, but Sunako's aunt was a laugh. There are some things I really don't like about this show, but sometimes I find myself laughing anyhow--maybe I've been too hard on it. A good touch was the way this show sort of makes fun of itself, with one of the four "beautiful boys" being mistaken for a girl. My first impression was that this was a show which I was not altogether convinced would be worth watching, but things are looking up now. My guess is that this will eventually rate at least a "Watch", maybe a "Rent". I thought I recognized Sugita Tomokazu's voice! Last updated Saturday, May 17 2008. A friend of mine (Meme-chan) shared a manga series called the WallFlower (the English released title,) which was entertaining. As many successful manga series end up being reproduced as an anime series...... Similar to the story of Ohran Koko Host Club, a number of handsome and attractive students find themselves having to look after an ‘ugly duckling’ of a young girl. I have posted some snaps of the (RAW) first episode. Having seen up to episode 16, I can share that this is a humorous series. It is a lot darker than the manga, and Sunako (the girl) spends a lot of time casted in her own poor self-image (appearing as a super-deformed morbid & obsessed troll-girl.) Sunako just can NOT stand beautiful things and people, and the four boys that are ‘looking’ after her are the cause of multiple nose bleeds. The style of animation is all over the place – ranging from simple stick-figure drawings to steamy & over embellished romance scenes. The story line is pretty good, but there are number of other characters that I have taken a strong disliking to. (Primarily the four loli-goth girls and the bleached citygirl gang - they are just so stupid and vapid that they got on my nerves and distracted from the story.) And episode 15 & 16 made NO sense at all. I probably will end up rating this as a LOW RENT. I still think that Ohran Koko Host Club is a better series with more humor.
