After violence, destruction and global warming had rendered earth almost uninhabitable and reduced mankind's access to energy sources, the United Nations approved the establishment of the Wisest World War, a type of conflict in which instead of using conventional armies and weaponry, each nation would utilize its own representative mech, called Gigantic, to fight against others and reduce the impact of warfare.
Shingo Suwa, a young Japanese boy, doesn't know that he has been chosen as the pilot for Japan's Gigantic, known as the Susanoo, but that changes when an enemy confronts it in the middle of Tokyo. On its own, the Susanoo moves toward Shingo, the one who will unleash its true potential and the one who might lead Japan to victory.
