Tōma Kamijō is an ordinary high school boy with terrible academic scores, but he harbors a hidden gift called Imagine Breaker. While Kamijō's Imagine Breaker is strong enough to defeat any other power, it has a side effect of diminishing his own good luck. So literally immeasurable are the strengths and effects of Imagine Breaker, that the hapless Kamijō is listed as having a psychic or supernatural level of 0. And then one day, he happens to find a girl dressed in white hanging off his window balcony. She tells him that sorcerers are chasing her and asks for his help. Kamijō comes to learn that the girl is a ‘Church of England’ nun whose memories have been forcibly embedded with the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum — the 103,000 forbidden texts of the Church.
Tōma Kamijō’s tale of adventure is set in a world where supernatural or psychic powers exist through science, and magic exists through religion.
Based on a popular manga series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura (wiki).
