Very silly with lots of implied perversions -- but the characters are so kawaii you can't take it seriously. Fansubs seem to be lagging, so I hope the show doesn't get dropped, it looks like one of the more entertaining ones of the season. Just don't expect any of it to make sense.

(One episode watched): The OP sequence was spirited and encouraging. People getting beaten up, on the other hand, isn't funny at all. The Magical Academy premise seems weak to me; a number of the new fall series have so much in common that I'm having a hard time remembering which is which. Sort of like somebody writing a novel called Perry Hotter. There's lots of mayhem and destruction, but it didn't seem outstandingly original or funny. OMG .... giggles galore!! I just peeked at the first episode (raw). Think Negima!? on steroids, with a serious dash of Excel Weirdness and PaniPoni insanity just to spice things up. Lets talk about serious plagiarism of so many other series, but since it being played as comedy and parody, it just comes off as extremely weird, hyper and funny. As I mentioned - Serious Giggles ... Takuto tries to be a 'normal' kid attending school, while hiding that he is also a student of a sorcerers academy. During a summoning ceremony, something goes very wrong and he 'accidentally' summons a cute, elf-eared and naked red-headed girl, whom he decides to name Tanarot (after a kitty-cat whom he befriended in his childhood). Our Takuto is both a nice guy and a successful sorcerer, and someone who has a number of admirers. At the end of the first chapter, his 'harem' includes the following.... Tanarotte - Summoned as Takuto's familiar, the naive and loli Tanarotte believes that the bond between them is a marriage commitment. Being naturally hyper (think in terms of a permanent IV drip of strong stimulants) and incredibly powerful, she does not want to share her Takuto with anyone and is not afraid of showing her fondness for him! Suzuho - A cute and quiet (distant) cousin of Takuto and a fellow magic academy student, who obviously has a serious crush on him. She is so shy and reserved that she hides in mailboxes and has to use written notes to communicate, unless she unseals her mega-modo chaotic vampire persona. Futuba-chan - A fellow classmate of Takuto's in the 'normal' world, in short a cute, normal girl. She obviously has a serious crush on him too, but has not yet confessed her feelings. (so we can expect her to be an active member of Takuto's harem-pack.) Fanservice? Yes, galore - but not ecchi! They mixed in claymation with animation during an 'implied lewd' scene. Plagiarism or parody? (no references provided)
