Dragon Slayer
If action is all you ask for, you'll find plenty of sword-swinging and explosions here. Unfortunately, that's all there is. The plot is paper-thin, and the characters are even thinner. The whole thing plays like a 6-hour series boiled down into 50 minutes. Perhaps the only thing this show has going for it is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. This is a good thing, since it often descends into self-parody. Without exaggeration, the dialogue really runs something like [combat scene] "Wow, so you're the prince? I'm the resistance general, and this is a mage who's helping us." [crash from outside] "What's that?" [another combat scene] The combat scenes don't even look particularly good. Avoid this one unless you're desperate for an adrenaline rush.
