This is a spin off OAV series from the creators of Hand Maid May (Wonderfarm). We have an all-new cast including new cyberdolls Mai, Ai, and Mie. This time, the male character (Hideo Ozu) works in video industry making "special" movies. After the girl he filmed from childhood becomes a star, she demands all of his recordings of her. He rejects her money offer, gets drunk, and comes home to three cyberdolls who look just like the girl at various points in her life (age-wise).

[3 OAV episodes+1 Special. A/o May 31, 2004, there has only been one episode released due to the distribution company going bankrupt. The last news from the official site came in July of 2003 which asked everyone to wait. Who knows how long it will be before the final two episodes are released (they have been completed).]
The Special is a 5 minute commercial talking about each of the girls and their powers (such as macro zoom)

What happens when Love?Love meets Hand Maid May? You get Hand Maid Mai, a story about a filmmaker who loses his love only to have her rebuilt as 3 robotic girls who double as digital cameras. It's not as bad as Love?Love but it is NO WAY as good as May.

Since episode 2 and 3 haven't surfaced (as wonderfarm went out of business), I'll mark this as a watch. It SHOULD be a rent if the story is as complete as it suggests. It's not an avoid but it is a MAJOR wake up call to May fans. (Especially the girl on girl action).

Favorite Scene : When Mei uses her super zoom to look into a girls changing room the main guy goes ' Why the Hell is all the ecchi pixelated?' Mei : 'Sorry master, but we are not allowed to take public pervert shots.'

What really sucks is the next episode preview suggests that May is coming over to visit her sister Mai.

Through episode 1, I can't say I'm impressed. Don't expect the charm of the original Hand Maid May because it's not there. Two more episodes supposed to come later in 2003 but as of July 2003, the series is on hold indefinitely. The other two episodes have been completed, but since the Japanese distribution company went out of business, the series creator Wonder Farms can't do a thing until all the legal issues have been resolved. I'll post an update when I hear more news.

I think It's too early to rate this one just of the first ep. Well at least these cybergirls have 3x digital zoom vision upgrade and FireWire support :-)
Has potential.

This series is well, for perverts only. It lacks a good plot. There is plenty of fan service, more than its predecessor Hand Maid May, but flops at much else. Avoid if you hate anime such as Agent Aika. Otherwise, it is a funny anime with plenty of ecchi, it sometimes goes borderline to hentai.
