Rupan Sansei: Bai Bai Ribatii - Kiki Ippatsu!

Lupin wants to retire with Fujiko and to do this, he needs to steal all of his files from ICPO so he can live in peace. But eventually Lupin is dumped after Fujiko runs up $300 million in spending. Now broke, Lupin is forced back into the action where he comes upon Jigen and Rooster who are looking for the diamond known as Super Egg, which is hidden in the Statue of Liberty. So how do you get the diamond? Just steal the whole smegging statue! Add to this mix a computer genius kid (Michael) who's looking for his mom and requires Lupin's help, a mysterious woman (Isabelle) who enlists Goemon's help after she and he escape an attack from the Three Masons, a virus named Ultra Virus, and a dumb Fujiko and you've got the entire mix.

I was bored a lot while I watched this. I mean this was a by-the-numbers A-B storyline in which both stories merge at some point. The whole stealing of the Statue of Liberty was just so stupid it made me cringe. I put up with a lot of stuff in Lupin especially when they are doing it to be funny. This wasn't funny. And I really hate it when they make Fujiko so smegging shallow and dumb. She was a waste. And the ending was...well, I'm not sure what to make of the final scene. I would like to see the kid Michael come back as an older kid/teen whom Lupin sees from time-to-time. That would be neat.

Bottom line: Another one of the not-so-good Lupin titles, but not the worst of the lot.
