Narue No Sekai Drama : Med Comedy : Med Action : Low/Med SciFi : High Ecchi : Low I forgot all about this little gem until recently. It's Please Teacher meets Ai Yori Aoshi but in the 10th grade. It's a cute little love story about 2 people from 2 different worlds. It's nice but too many questions left open and it was a little bit too slow for my taste. Narue No Sekai If you are a 14 year old boy/girl (or a natural child at heart who was entranced by Ai Yori Aoshi) then this fluffy silly romantic comedy might be something that you can enjoy, but just don't expect anything very serious. Driven by a good plot, crisp animation, and good character development, we can share in the awkwardness of Kazuto on his first date with Nauru, his new girlfriend. And if that were not enough, Nauru is a half alien with the ability to teleport and problems of her own. What can you do when your older sister, who has a deep space battleship as a best friend, decides to kidnap your boyfriend and hold him for ransom in exchange for your father? With a shy smile and an innocent nod to fan service, we can be reminded that short school girl skirts do float in weightlessness and that advanced robotic weapons systems can be packaged in a body that looks like a 12 year old girl (with short skirts of course), if only to serve as a love rival for Kazutos attentions. The bad guys of the series, the universal terrorists, are very bad and look like a cross between an orc and a bad dream, but since they can't use any advanced weapons, they can easily taken care of with tough attitude and a mean swing of a baseball bat. This series succeeds in being both charming and entertaining at a very youthful level (which, personally, I happen to enjoy).
