Lina and Naga are back for more of what they do when they are together. First, after Naga accidently burns down a local Inn (and destroy's Lina's luggage), the town's mayor says that if they will rescue missing townfolks from a nearby ruin, their debts will be forgiven. Too bad a vampire lord named Steindorf lives in those ruins.
Next, Lina takes a job as a bodyguard for Sirene, the daughter of the rich merchant Fitzmeyer. When the job of escorting Sirene takes longer due to her extreme selfish behavior, Lina decides to teach the girl a lesson by hiring bandits to kidnap her. But when Naga shows up, all of Lina's plans go south.
Finally, Lina is approaced for a job by the formal seemstress Tachiana Deiward. It seems the town's other fashion designer, Mati Rayford, is getting the teenagers to wear tacky informal ware. Lina refuses until Naga shows up on Mati's side, revealing that the fashions Mati is promoting is the Naga look.
